Escuderos
Covering a total of 361.11 hectares, it consists of four plants that feed their energy into the Altarejos Photovoltaic Complex substation (SET) 132/30 kV, which is then transmitted via a 132 kV, 15.2 km high-voltage line to the Villanueva de los Escuderos Renewables substation 132/400 kV. This, in turn, connects to the Villanueva de los Escuderos substation 400 kV, owned by Red Eléctrica de España.
The plant has 540,360 photovoltaic panels of 370 Wp, with an efficiency of 20.7-21%. We installed the modules on trackers, structures that automatically follow the sun’s position from east to west throughout the day, maximizing production at all times. Additionally, the plant is equipped with a control system that responds to wind gusts exceeding 60 km/h by placing the photovoltaic panels in a horizontal position to minimize wind stress on the structure.

Mounting
The mounting system of a solar panel is crucial for ensuring its stability and optimal orientation towards the sun. Designed to withstand various weather conditions, the mounting allows precise angling to maximize solar light capture. Mounts can be adjustable and are made from corrosion-resistant materials to ensure long-lasting durability.
ARC Tempered Glass
ARC (Anti-Reflective Coating) tempered glass is a protective layer applied to the solar panel. This special glass features an anti-reflective coating that reduces light loss by allowing more sunlight to pass through to the photovoltaic cells. It is also impact-resistant and designed to withstand extreme weather conditions, safeguarding the panel from damage and wear.
EVA/POE
Encapsulation materials that ensure adhesion and protection of photovoltaic cells, improving efficiency and extending the panel’s lifespan.
Photovoltaic Cells
Semiconductor devices that convert solar energy into electricity through the photovoltaic effect.
EVA/POE (second layer)
Additional material that reinforces the protection of photovoltaic cells, preventing moisture and other external factors.
Tempered Glass
A layer of resistant glass covering the photovoltaic cells, providing physical protection against impacts and adverse weather conditions.
Junction Box
A component that houses the wires and electrical connections of the solar panel, facilitating its integration and maintenance with other electrical systems.
