Always green, forever energy. Advanced battery storage to keep the world shining
Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) are electrical storage plants connected into the grid network. They enable us to store the surplus clean energy we generate when not in use and discharge it into the network when the power is most needed.
BESS also help us provide better grid stability, as we can manage magnitudes such as voltage and frequency imbalances when renewable generation dips up and down.
Greenbox: Grenergy’s new BESS platform
Benefits of energy storage systems
Power system stability
Energy is stored and dispersed into the electricity network over a period of hours to take save excess generation and supply to peak demand.
Frequency Response
Electricity is rapidly imported and exported to balance fluctuations, ensuring the network frequency stays stable at 50Hz.
Towards decarbonization
Incorporating batteries into the grid ensures that clean energy is not limited by intermittency, making it more competitive and reliable. This allows us to advance towards the common goal of decarbonization.
