kwi 10, 2025
Grenergy has celebrated the second edition of its Green Riders initiative, this time in Colombia. The 600-kilometre ride through La Guajira and the Caribbean coast has been led by David Ruiz de Andrés, CEO of Grenergy, together with the Colombian professional cyclist, Rigoberto Urán, and other company executives.
Along the route, carried out on electric bicycles and accompanied by electric vans, the company has installed free electric charging stations, promoting clean mobility, and has developed social and educational projects aimed at local communities, consolidating its role as a leader in the energy transition.
Green Riders is an initiative whose main objective is to generate a positive impact on the communities where the Grenergy is present, promoting electrification as a key tool to encourage more sustainable tourism. It consists of a 100% sustainable journey undertaken by the company’s executives through isolated places in the countries where Grenergy operates, demonstrating that it is possible to travel through even the most remote areas of the world in a sustainable way.
The initiative started in 2024 with Green Riders Austral 24 on the Carretera Austral, Chile, where three free public electric charging stations were inaugurated, facilitating the travel of 1,000 kilometres of the route with electric vehicles and bicycles. In addition, donations were made to local communities, benefiting more than 600 people with educational and sustainability projects.
‘With Green Riders Caribe 2025 we have once again demonstrated that sustainable mobility can be integrated even in the most remote regions. This project reaffirms our commitment to support the electrification and development of local communities while caring for the environment,’ said David Ruiz de Andrés, CEO of Grenergy.
