San Miguel de Allende solar photovoltaic plant, with an installed capacity of 35 MW, is located in Rancho Guadalupe, Guanajuato and extends over an area of 85 hectares. The construction phase covers twelve months and the plant’s lifespan is thirty years. The objective of the project is the production of electricity from a renewable source, solar energy, that is captured by photovoltaic panels. Solar energy is renewable, infinite, non-polluting and silent, contributing to sustainable development.
The development of new renewable energy projects brings us closer to a world powered exclusively with clean energy. Our commitment is to act in a socially responsible way and with respect for the cultural diversity and customs of the communities present in the areas of our projects.
We establish fluent communication with the local community from the early stages of the project and during all phases of its development, construction, operation and closure. Our organizational structure assigns designated staff to engage with the communities.
We have a community Grievance and Suggestions Mechanism, so that all of our neighbors and stakeholders can share their feedback. The form is also available for download at the following link and can be emailed to our contact address: infoSMA@grenergy.eu Please contact us if you want to be provided with a copy of our Emergency response plan.
