Our solar project “LOS ESCUDEROS” is located in the province of Cuenca (Altarejos) and comprises 4 plants of 50 MWp: PSF AITANA, PSF BAÑUELA, PSF ASPE and PSF TURBAN. The area consists of 361.11 hectares in total. This project aims to generate electricity through a renewable energy source (solar energy) which will be captured by photovoltaic panels and other necessary installations such as power lines, among others.
The four plants together evacuate the energy to the future SET Photovoltaic Complex Altarejos 132/30 kV, located north and adjacent to the PSF AITANA. It is then driven via high voltage power line at 132 kV and 15.2 kilometers in length to the SET Villanueva de los Escuderos Renovables 132/400 kV, which in turn connects to the SET Villanueva de los Escuderos 400 kV, owned by Red Eléctrica de España (REE).
The project includes the installation of a 540,360 photovoltaic panels (370 Wp) with a conversion efficiency between 20.7-21% arranged in solar trackers, and transformer centers, that are connected by 30 kV underground electrical laying in trench to the substation of the four plants. The PV modules are installed on structures called trackers, able to move around a horizontal axis oriented North to South and to automatically track the position of the sun east-west throughout the day, thus maximizing the production of the modules at all times. The structure where the modules are attached is fixed to the ground and enables the process of solar monitoring and optimization of sun tracking every day of the year. In addition, it has a control system against wind gusts greater than 60 km/h, that places photovoltaic panels horizontally to minimize stresses due to excessive wind over the structure.
Photovoltaic plants of AITANA, ASPE, BAUELA and TURBAN can be accessed from CUV – 7043 on the road from Poveda to Villarejo – Periesteban, which in turn links with CUV 7031.

We promote the energy development from renewable sources while taking care of the environment and adding value to neighboring communities. Thus, we are committed to maintain an open and frequent communication and to collaborate with our stakeholders during all the phases of our projects, development, construction, operation until the end of the life of the projects. We involve local organizations and leaders, NGOs and local government in order to develop social activities able to generate impact.
Grenergy embraces a policy of respect and protection of the land and the local communities and our organizational structure has been designed to establish transparent and fruitful relationships with the local communities. In order to facilitate the provision of feedback by our neighbors, we have in place a Community Grievance and Suggestions Mechanism.
