The “Duna and Huambos Wind Farms” projects are located more than 2300 m.a.s.l., in Huambos district, Chota province, Cajamarca department. The farm generates uses wind power, a renewable energy source, to generate electricity by means of necessary facilities (wind turbines, power lines, among others). The energy generated will be injected into the National Interconnected Electrical System (SEIN).
Both projects include 14 wind turbines of 2,625 MW (7 wind turbines per park), with an installed power of 36.75 MW in total. The energy produced will be transported to Distribution and Control Centers (CR) through a buried manifold system where they will be joined in a single circuit to the electrical connection point. The electrical connection point will be the Duna Huambos electrical substation of 22.9/34.5/138 kV, which will be interconnected to the SEIN through the “PI” bypass of the L-1135 Colored Spine – Cutervo transmission line at 138 kV.
Grenergy has defined the basic principles and strategic lines that support and guide the social impact strategy in the environment of its projects.
Two-way, frequent and fluid communication with the local community from the early stages as the basis of the relationship strategy with the local community, aimed at creating a social bond with the company.
The company’s social contribution will seek to improve the well-being of the local community with a medium- and long-term perspective, giving priority to those initiatives capable of creating a positive social impact and generating added value in their quality of life.
The implementation of social initiatives pursues the creation and strengthening of links between the company and the community and, therefore, is flexible in nature and is in tune with the specific needs of each community, identified as a result of fluid and frequent communication established. with the local community.
The social activity is designed and implemented in close collaboration with solid local non-governmental organizations (NGOs) familiar with the local culture and reality.
The social contribution is made in an orderly and transparent manner in accordance with the applicable legislation and in compliance with the company’s ethical codes.
The relationship with the local community will be based on respect for its values and traditions by all the company’s workers and collaborators, and they will observe the established internal representation systems.
Appropriate metrics are used to track the impact of implemented social initiatives, and are reported to stakeholders in the annual sustainability reports and/or on the company’s website.
The strategic lines that define the nature of the specific social development initiatives are based on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals that the company has chosen as a priority, so that the implementation of these initiatives contributes directly to these goals:
We work to protect biodiversity and create positive local impact in the communities near our projects.
“The donations received will allow us to continue to perform our work optimally, facing this pandemic. I express my deepest gratitude for the great generosity of the company towards us.”
