Grenergy closes finance for 13 MWp of PV plants in Chile
March 15 (Renewable Now) – Spanish renewables developer Grenergy Renovables (BME:GR) announced on Monday it has secured financial support for 13.17 MWp of solar projects in Chile.
The company will receive USD 9.81 million (EUR 9.23m) from the Inter-American Corporation of Infrastructure FinancinG (CIFI).
The loan will be used for three solar plants currently under construction and scheduled to commence operations in the first half of this year. When completed, the photovoltaic (PV) plants will bring the firm’s Chilean portfolio to a total of 40 MWp of combined capacity divided into eight PV plants, Grenergy noted.
With this deal, Grenergy starts its first collaboration with CIFI and completes its third financing scheme in Chile successfully.
CIFI, is a financial institution with extensive experience in financing infrastructure and energy in Latin America and the Caribbean, as well as in the Chilean market.
